Heartline Missionary Work in Haiti Is Positively Changing Lives

The English Camp is operated by the missionary work of Heartline Christian Ministries. It is a bible-based educational camp for the children of Haiti. The curriculum is organized to teach life skills along with other studies that children don't receive as part of standard Haiti schooling.

Basic skills in spelling, reading, writing, and math are taught with individualized instruction and guidance. This specialized teaching allows the children to develop and experience a true learning environment. Since the English Camp is biblically based, the children are given the opportunity to understand, develop, and grow in the christian faith.

Heartline Christian Ministries English Camp

Purpose of the English Camp is

  • To minister God's Word to Haiti children
  • To provide children with an opportunity to better understand and communicate in the English language
  • To give children the potential for later career success by teaching them English in a world where bi-lingual skills remain an advantage
  • To offer constructive activites for children during the Summer months
  • To provide a service for working parents who might otherwise leave their children in an unsupervised environment

  • Heartline Christian Missions English Camp

The missionary work of Heartline Ministries needs your prayers for:

  • Wisdom to best utilize space and resources in order to accommodate as many students as possible.
  • Wisdom to best teach God's Word and the English language in ways that ignite interest and interaction and positively change lives for the glory of God.
  • Volunteers who sense a calling by God and their willingness to accept this mission work
  • Financial provisions to offset some of the expenses incurred for portable toilets, translators, cooks, food, ice, water, and other supplies
  • Acceptance of Christ by the children, family members and the Haiti community
  • The Bible has some importance messages about generous giving. Here are three bible passages:

Mark 9:41 reads, "If anyone gives you even a cup of water because you belong to the Messiah, I assure you, that person will be rewarded."

1 Timothy 6:17-19 reads, "Tell those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which will soon be gone. But their trust should be in the living God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and should give generously to those in need, always being ready to share with others whatever God has given them. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may take hold of real life."

Hebrews 13:16 reads, "Don't forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God."
