Biblical Inspiration for Life
The Path For Your Life Journey
Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church stated that the next ten years of your life can be your best Destiny Decade, where living becomes focused and everything you do positively impacts your life.
In order to reach the destination God has planned for you and become what you feel God wants you to be, you'll need step-by-step guidance to help you get focused.
Step One: Assess your present situation.
Determine your spiritual, financial, emotional, relational, physical, and occupational condition.
Then, decide what needs to be changed
Step Two: Be clear on what you desire. You'll never attain an unclear objective. The more vague the goal, the less impact it will have. Be specific.
Here are four questions to ponder:
What would I like to be?
What would I like to do?
What would I like to possess?
For what reason would I want it?
It's simply not enough to just know the first three "what" questions. You need to know the answer to the last question - WHY. What is your motivation? Understanding this will help to get through the difficult times along the way.
Inspiration quotes from Genesis 24 exemplify what we're talking about here. Abraham was promised by God that he would become the Father of a Great Nation. But Abraham is an old man and his son, Isaac has no wife and is childless. He considers the situation and decides to send his servant, Eliezer, to search for a wife for Isaac.
The point to remember is that it's never too late to make a life change. Abraham gave exact instructions as to the kind of wife he wished for Isaac. Inspiration quotes from Genesis 24:3-4 read, "Swear by the Lord, the God of Heaven and earth, that you will not let my son marry one of these local Canaanite women. Go instead to my homeland, to my relatives, and find a wife there for my son, Isaac."
Don't be concerned on how to do it for now. Leave that to God. That's His responsibility. He'll direct your steps to get you past the obstacles that will block the path to your goal.
