Christian Missionaries Helping the Destitute in Haiti

Each week over 100 women come through Heartline Christian Missionaries center as part of their various programs. These women live day to day just trying to survive and feed their children.

Their Womens Program brings hope and help to Haiti in many different ways.

  • Women who have never earned one dollar, are now earning money through the Sewing Program.
  • Women who have had no prenatal care are getting the attention they so desperately need through the Pre-Natal Class. Women are overjoyed when they hear the sound of their baby's heartbeat for the first time.
  • Women who have never known parenting skills are being taught to take better care of their children through the Early Childhood Development Class
  • Women who, previously, could not read or write are now learning these skills through the Literacy Class
  • The Womens Program administered through Heartline Ministries, includes four separate components:

  • The Prenatal Class meets once a week with pregnant women to provide prenatal care.
  • Christian Missionaries

  • The Early Childhood Development Class provides education on caring for newborn babies and other children in the family. Once a woman gives birth she becomes eligible to enter the class.
  • Christian Missionaries

  • The Literacy Class meets three times a week to teach Creole reading and writing. The class runs for about four months and is a prerequisite to the Sewing Class.
  • Christian Missionaries

  • The Sewing Class is a six-month class that teaches women how to sew and run a business.
  • The four classes are limited to a total of 20 women at any given time.
