Changing Habits... Building The Good and Breaking The Bad

Changing Habits
Every human, regardless of age, gender, religious or cultural background possesses this permanent trait. It can build you up or it can destroy you. Giving serious thought to the words in the powerful message below can catapult you into a life filled with peace, purpose, abundance, and prosperity.
Who Am I?
I'm your constant companion.
I can be your greatest helper or your heaviest burden.
I will push you ahead to success or pull you down to failure.
I'm completely at your command.
Half the things you do, you might just as well give to me.
I will do them quickly and effortlessly.
I'm easily managed.
You must simply be firm with me.
Show me how you want something done.
After a few attempts I will do it automatically.
I'm a servant to all great people and to all failures as well.
Those who become successful, I made successful.
Those who become failures I made failures.
I'm not a machine although I work with the precision of one.
I work with the intelligence of a human.
You can run me for profit or run me for ruin.
It really don't care.
If you train me and you're firm with me, I will put the world at your doorstep.
If you are easy with me, I will destroy you!
I am called...YOUR HABIT...
Changing habits from bad to good, is the foundation of healthy living. It's prudent to realize how this human characteristic functions.
Tragically, many people are chained to ungodly and materialistic lifestyle. It could be the pursuit of money, power, relationships or anything that can develop into a pattern of bad living.
John 8:34-36 reads, "Jesus replied, 'I assure you that everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free."
1 John 3:9 reads, "Those who have been born into God's family do not sin because God's life is in them. So they can't keep on sinning because they have been born of God."
Often, ungodly habits begin in an innocent way but later, can develop into uncontrollable addictions that are difficult to break. Neither human will power nor effort can defeat this bondage. However, what man cannot accomplish, God can achieve.
Luke 18:27 reads: "Jesus replied, "What is impossible from a human perspective is possible with God." Is there some habit, emotion, or dream that controls you? Our Wonderful Counselor, Jesus Christ, can set us free.
The essence of the message is very clear. Poor habits will drag you down and keep you there until you change. But good habits have the opposite effect. They allow you to gradually build living patterns that lead to a more peaceful, purposeful,
abundant, and prosperous life.
Make it a daily habit to spend just a few minutes reading encouraging and inspirational bible verses. This routine can change your life forever. It's changed my life in ways I couldn't imagine.
